    Position Summary

    Virgin Orbit (VO) is seeking a new member for our team to serve as a Contract Scheduler reporting directly to the Manager of Talent Acquisition. This position will interact closely with all L1 Managers and Leadership. This role will manage scheduling of candidate phone screens, on-site interviews, and other events. They will also perform some administrative duties (updating offer letters, creating candidate schedules, tracking and data entry, some report creation, etc.) . The chosen candidate will have excellent communication skills and an ability to function in a rapidly changing environment. This is a contract position for immediate hire at our rocket factory in beautiful Long Beach, California.

    • Build strong relationships with teammates, leadership and People Team colleagues and develop a solid understanding of the business in order to provide pro-active support
    • Schedule onsite and phone interviews for incoming candidates
    • Assist with administrative tasks: offer letters, data entry, creation of candidate itineraries
    • Help Virgin Orbit do our part to make the world a better place
    • Constantly learn new things—and share them with your team members
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    • High School Diploma required
    • Strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Maintains administrative/scheduling workflow by working with managers and recruiting associates across the organization 
    • Disciplined self-started with a can-do attitude; proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
    • Driven, highly motivated, and committed to improvement
    • Generally high level of all-around awesomeness
    • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime as well as weekends when needed
    • Provides information by answering questions and requests

    • Passion for space exploration and a firm belief in the utility of affordable access to space
    • Ability to thrive as a ‘one person team’
    • 1 or more years experience working in human resources (internships included)


    ITAR Requirements

    To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
