Virgin Orbit is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator, Contractor/Consultant to execute receiving, materials movement, driving, and shipping and procurement activities within the LauncherOne program at the new Long Beach manufacturing facility. The Supply Chain Coordinator, Contractor/Consultant is a valuable member within the Materials Department supporting and communicating with management and our internal customer. The ideal candidate will be experienced in Supply Chain materials movement at the dock including receiving inspection, materials inventory and shipping. The candidate will have experience executing requisitions and MRP activities. Ideal candidates will have a work history that demonstrates the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
The Supply Chain Coordinator, Contractor/Consultant will effectively lead material processes and problem solve for all materials including raw material, goods, consumables, hazardous materials and other inventory items necessary for the LauncherOne program. Experience with new product introductions, lean manufacturing, cost and quality optimization along with material flow on the production floor is highly desired. This is a temporary position at our rocket factory in beautiful Long Beach, California.
